Modelled on the magnificent temples of Angkor, Arunreas Hotel is littered with motifs reflecting elements that come directly from the temples, especially details from the reliefs of Angkor Wat and Bayon. One of the first things you’ll notice though is the trio of elephants who greet you at the door. These are not just any elephants though. They are a representation of Airavata, the divine Hindu elephant who carried Indra, the god of rain and thunderstorms, and lord of the gods before he lost his place to the Trimurti of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
