We’d like to start this article with an apology. We know you may be coming to Phnom Penh to do business or to discover some of Cambodia’s captivating heritage and history, so we’re very sorry that we’ve made it so difficult to actually leave the hotel from the moment you discover our ground-floor deli-restaurant, Khéma. We couldn’t help ourselves. We love food.
And because we love food, we have spent a VERY long time developing an à la carte menu that reflects a wide range of appetites, ingredients, flavours and cuisines. From healthy to hearty, we’ve covered all the bases from iceberg wedge salad to lobster bisque, sea bass tartare to beef wellington, but the one thing this medley of dishes do have in common is that they’re all freakishly delicious. This is food designed to satisfy everyone from solo diners to executive dinners.
But, even aside from the in-room dining available from 6:30am to 10pm, there are more ways than one of enjoying Khéma’s culinary fare. How we do love them, let us count the ways.
We don’t like to be the ones to say it, so fortunately plenty of others do. Khéma is one of the best breakfast and brunch spots in town according to the people on TripAdvisor (No.1), the Phnom Penh Post, Culture Trip, Khmer Times, Vivre au Cambodge, Guide Voyage Cambodge, and plenty of others besides. But not only are our eggs and croissants and breads and so much more spell-bindingly delicious, you can also enjoy them to your heart’s and stomach’s complete content, thanks to our Free-Flow Breakfast. Basically, we won’t stop until you do. Complimentary when staying at Arunreas, on weekdays from 6am to 11am, and from 6am to 3pm on weekends.
With our Free-Flow Breakfast being such a hit, we thought “why not extend it to lunch?” And so we did. Honestly, how could we not? In addition to our magnificent Free-Flow Breakfast, you can tuck into an unlimited number of servings from a regularly changing three-course lunch menu of fresh creations cooked up by our chefs, as well as a generous buffet of Western-style dishes. Just $11.90++ from 11am until 3pm, and available every day, not just weekdays.
There are few things more civilised and rewarding than Afternoon Tea — which is the real tea and cakes treat enjoyed by Britain’s aristocracy while the working classes had to make do with a “high tea” of bread and pie eaten off their mantlepiece after a long, hard day’s labour. The real deal, Afternoon Tea, is a moment for luxury and indulgence, serving as a bridge between lunch and dinner, or simply to take a moment in your day for yourself, and your friends or colleagues of course. With delicate, house-made sweet and savouries bites washed down with lashings of loose-leaf tea from the experts at Harney & Sons, it’s difficult to imagine this much sweet indulgence can be had for just $8++, every day from 2pm to 5pm.
When you really want the conversation to flow, then it’s essential to ensure the wine and cheese are flowing too. We’ve got that covered every Thursday evening at Khéma, with Wine & Dine where you’ll find a free flow of wine, imported cheeses, house-made charcuterie and a great buffet of your favourite dishes, for just $22.90++.
Khéma is open and serving every day from 6:30am to 10pm. We look forward to serving you.
